Senior managers and executives who are going through or anticipating change often lack an objective mentor within the business. New roles require new skills and sometimes the success of a senior position can make it lonely. An independent person who is on your side and listens well can be very helpful. Having been a manager myself, recruited many senior people in various disciplines and acted as a coach to senior executives in many different indutries, I do understand both the needs of the business and the pressure on the individual.  

Sometimes the need is to escape a cycle of crisis management; or it might be about building a team or developing techniques to get the best out of your staff.

Myers Briggs psychometric tests can be a help, both for individuals and in team building.
